CHAPTER 9. - DEPARTMENTAL BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS


Sec. 3-900. - Board of assessment.

The board of assessment shall be composed of three (3) members.

Sec. 3-901. - Tax review board.

Until council shall by ordinance otherwise provide, the tax review board shall consist of the director of finance, the city solicitor and the city treasurer. If and when council shall otherwise ordain, the board shall consist of not more than five (5) members who shall receive such compensation as the ordinance shall fix. One member shall be an accountant and one a lawyer.

Sec. 3-902. - Zoning board of adjustment.

The zoning board of adjustment shall be composed of those members prescribed in 22 Del. C. § 322 until otherwise provided by law.

Sec. 3-903. - Board of license and inspection review.

The board of license and inspection review shall be composed of not less than three (3) and not more than six (6) members.

Sec. 3-904. - Board of standards and appeals.

The board of standards and appeals shall be composed of two (2) members and the commissioner of licenses and inspections. The appointed members shall be of recognized standing and experience in design and construction and one shall be an architect and the other a professional engineer.

Sec. 3-905. - Wilmington Park Trust Fund Commission.

The Wilmington Park Trust Fund Commission shall be composed of two (2) members and the director of parks and recreation.

Sec. 3-906. - City planning commission.

The city planning commission shall be composed of five (5) appointed members and the director of finance and the administrative assistant to the mayor. Of the appointed members, at least four (4) shall be persons who hold no other public office or paid public employment.

Sec. 3-907. - Additional advisory boards.

The mayor may, upon request of the head of any department, or on his own volition, appoint a board of three (3) citizens to act in an advisory capacity to such department regarding the department's work or any specific phase of it.
