Sec. 37-41. - Temporary regulations.

(a)

The commissioner of public works shall have the authority to establish additional parking and traffic regulations for a period of six months, after which if any regulation is not approved by the mayor and city council, such regulation shall cease to be effective.

(b)

The commissioner of public works, or his designee, shall provide notice to the members of city council when permits for temporary parking and traffic regulations have been applied for in connection with special events.

Sec. 37-42. - Designation of restricted streets.

Whenever the use of any street by certain types of vehicles is prohibited, the department of public works shall erect and maintain appropriate signs to give notice thereof.
