⁽²⁷⁾ Editor's note— It should be noted that § 1 of Ord. No. 628, adopted March 16, 2004, provides, " Article X is added to Chapter 14 of the Ordinance Code of Kings County. The purpose of Article X, Chapter 14, is to protect the health, safety and welfare of the residents of the County of Kings through the prevention of public health and other nuisances related to water service within the El Rancho Park Subdivision area of the County of Kings and to implement a joint powers agreement to be entered into between the county and the City of Hanford for delivery by the city of a supply of domestic water and related services to the El Rancho Area. This article shall supplement and be in addition to other statutes, ordinances, resolutions and regulations heretofore or hereafter enacted by the state, the county, the City of Hanford or any other legal entity or agency having jurisdiction over such water service. Pursuant to Government Code sections 25690 and 25210.1, the board of supervisors has been granted the authority to enact this article. The Kings County Public Works Director or his designee will have the authority to administer and enforce any violation of this article. This article applies to all land owned by any individual, firm, partnership, joint venture, association, corporation, estate or trust within the geographical area of the Zone of Benefit No. 4C of County Service Area No. 4. All homeowners and residents would be required to connect to the new water distribution system and to pay the charges therefore." (Back)
