The duties of the clerk and the duties of the recorder are consolidated and the person elected or appointed to fill the united and consolidated offices of clerk and recorder shall take the oath and give the bond required for each, discharge all the duties pertaining to each, and shall receive the compensation of the offices of clerk and recorder.

Pursuant to the authority vested in the board of supervisors by virtue of Section 25100.5 of the Government Code of the state, the office of clerk of the board of supervisors is declared to be an appointive office to be filled by appointment by the board of supervisors.

Pursuant to the provisions of Section 24304, subdivision (x) of the Government Code of the State of California, the duties of the county clerk and recorder, as previously consolidated pursuant to the provisions of section 2-2 of this article, and the assessor are consolidated, and the person elected or appointed to fill the united and consolidated offices of clerk and recorder and assessor shall take the oath and give the bond required of each, discharge all of the duties pertaining to each, and shall receive the compensation of the consolidated offices as determined by the board of supervisors.

Sec. 2-13. - County auditor qualifications.
The provisions of Sections 26945 and 26946 of the Government Code of the State of California, concerning qualifications for the office of county auditor, are hereby adopted and made applicable to the office of county auditor of Kings County.
