ARTICLE VI. - REMEDIES


Sec. 5A-56. - Nuisance.

Any building, structure, substantial improvement or other installation which is subject to this chapter and which is not in full compliance with the requirements of this chapter shall constitute a public nuisance.

Sec. 5A-57. - Violations and penalties.

Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor punishable as provided in section 1-8 of the Kings County Code of Ordinances. Each such person shall be deemed guilty of a separate offense for each and every day, or portion thereof, during which any violation of any such provision of this chapter is committed, permitted or continued by such person and shall be punishable therefor as provided in section 1-8.

Sec. 5A-58. - Abatement of nuisances.

Any building, structure, substantial improvement or other installation which is subject to this chapter and which is not in full compliance with the requirements of this chapter and has been declared a public nuisance may be abated pursuant to the "Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings" adopted by section 5-36 of this Code of Ordinances, if the owner does not abate the nuisance.
