Sec. 5-36. - Adoption of California Building Code.
Except as otherwise provided in this chapter, those certain building codes known and designated as "2007 Editions of the California Building Code, Volumes 1 & 2," including appendix Chapters 1, B, H, and I to said codes, as published by the California Building Standards Commission, and the 1997 Editions of the "Uniform Housing Code" and "Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings," as published by the International Conference of Building Officials, are hereby referred to, adopted and made a part hereof with the same effect as if fully set forth herein and are hereby declared to be the building code of the county, and the provisions thereof shall apply to the unincorporated area of the county.

Sec. 5-37. - Building code exemptions and superseding provisions.
The following sections of the 2007 California Building Code are deleted, amended, modified or superseded, as indicated:
Appendix Section 109.3.8 Other Inspections, is hereby added to said code as follows.
Housing inspections and letters of compliance. Upon a request for a housing compliance inspection the applicant shall be charged a fee as set by resolution of the board of supervisors for each building, including an additional amount for each additional unit in the same building if the building has multiple units to be paid at the office of the building official to cover the costs of the housing inspection and letter of compliance.
