8.16.010 Posting of prices required.

Every person, firm, copartnership, association or corporation offering for sale or selling any gasoline or other motor vehicle fuel to the public from any place of business in the unincorporated area of the county of Los Angeles shall post or display a sign which is clearly visible from any street or highway adjacent to such place of business, and which indicates the actual price per gallon, including all taxes, at which each grade of gasoline or other motor vehicle fuel is currently being offered for sale or sold. 8.16.011 Services to handicapped--Sign required.

Every person, firm, partnership, association, trustee or corporation which operates a gasoline service station or other facility which offers gasoline or other motor vehicle fuel for sale to the public from such a facility and which is required by law to offer such services to severely disabled drivers with a special license plate or placard shall post or display a sign which is clearly visible from any street or highway adjacent to such place of business indicating that such services are provided to the handicapped. 8.16.020 Advertising unavailable items prohibited.

No person, firm, copartnership, association or corporation shall advertise, either in connection with the sign required by Section 8.16.010 or otherwise, any grade of gasoline, motor fuel, or other similar product which is not immediately available for sale to the public on the business premises. (Ord. 10851 § 2, 1974: Ord. 10846 § 2, 1974.)

8.16.030 Signs--Statutory requirements.

Any sign posted or displayed pursuant to Section 8.16.010 shall not be inconsistent with the provisions of Article 8 of Chapter 7 of Division 8 (Section 20880, et seq.) of the California Business and Professions Code. (Ord. 10851 § 3, 1974: Ord. 10846 § 3, 1974.)
