Article XVII. - Procedure for Leasing County Real Property.


Sec. 2-170. - Authorization.

The board of supervisors of the county of Sonoma, pursuant to the provisions of Government Code Section 25537, hereby prescribes procedures for the leasing of real property belonging to Sonoma County.

Sec. 2-171. - Procedure for leasing county realty.

The board of supervisors shall either accept the highest proposal for the proposed lease submitted in response to a call for bids posted in at least three (3) public places for not less than fifteen (15) days and published for not less than two (2) weeks in a newspaper of general circulation, or reject all bids, except that leases of a duration not exceeding five (5) years and having an estimated monthly rental of not exceeding two thousand dollars ($2,000.00) shall be excluded from the bidding procedure. Procedures for such excluded leases are set forth in Section 2-172.

Sec. 2-172. - Excluded leases.

The board of supervisors authorizes the Sonoma County general services director to execute, on behalf of the county, leases where the actual monthly rental in the executed lease shall not exceed two thousand dollars ($2,000.00) and the term of the executed lease shall not exceed five (5) years and the lease is not renewable.

Sec. 2-173. - Advertising on county property.

The board of supervisors of the County of Sonoma, pursuant to provisions of Government Code Section 26109, hereby authorizes the sale of advertising space on county real or personal property, including county websites, subject to such policies and procedures as may be adopted by the board, by resolution, from time to time.
